CWL Housing recently celebrated over 50 years of providing retirement living for the over 60s in Thurrock and Southend.
We provide accommodation for anyone who is over 60, regardless if they have private means or are in receipt of housing benefit. Almost unique in these days of austerity, we are providing high quality homes with an onsite Scheme Manager at each location.
Our commitment is to ensure the sustainability of our organisation and to increase the number homes, over time, we provide.
To ensure the future of CWL Housing we are seeking new Board members with commitment and significant management experience, ideally with skills and expertise, either in the private or public sector, in any of the following: IT; Financial; Accountancy; Building Refurbishment (Architects, Quantity Surveyors) or General Management.
Experience and understanding of the housing association in general and of the retirement sector in particular is advantageous, though not essential.
