CWL Housing maintains a waiting list for flats and allocates available flats strictly in accordance with this.
When we receive your completed application form we will contact you to arrange for you to look round the complex and for us to carry out an assessment of your suitability for sheltered accommodation. The criteria we use is as follows:
- Over State Retirement age
- Capable of independent living
We will also take up character references.
On satisfactory completion of this process, you will be added to our waiting list based on the date your application form was received by us. At that time we will write to you again, confirming that you are on the list and showing the type of flat you are listed for.
When a flat becomes available, it will be offered to the person at the top of the waiting list for that type of accommodation. Refusal of an offer will result in you being put at the bottom of the list.
