CWL Housing maintains a waiting list for flats and allocates available flats strictly in accordance with this.
When we receive your completed application form we will contact you to arrange for you to look round the complex and for us to carry out an assessment of your suitability for sheltered accommodation. The criteria we use is as follows:
- Over State Retirement age
- Capable of independent living
Unfortunately, residents are not permitted to keep dogs or cats as pets. However, one small, caged animal, for example and bird, hamster or fish, is allowed, with prior approval from the Housing Manager.
We will also take up character references and landlord references if required.
On satisfactory completion of this process, you will be added to our waiting list.
When a suitable flat becomes available, it will be offered to the person at the top of the waiting list for that type of accommodation. Refusal of an offer will result in you being put at the bottom of the list.
